Fascia of Thigh
The superficial fascia of the thigh does not merit any special description.
The internal portion of the deep fascia covers the first layer of the muscles on the inner aspect of the thigh and becomes continuous inferiorly with the fascia of the leg and interiorly with that part of the deep fascia, which covers the anterior and lateral parts of the thigh
The portion of the deep fascia covering the lateral and anterior surfaces of thigh is called astensor fascia latae; it is continuous with the gluteal fascia above
The tensor fascia latae and one of the terminations of the biceps femoris are inserted into the fascia latae, which is attached to the patella and its medial and lateral ligaments
It becomes continuous with the fascia covering the muscles on the medial aspect of the thigh
